Terms of Service

These terms set out the agreement between you and us when you use Gooseberry. We've tried to keep them short and readable.

Last updated 20 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between Nyada Ventures Ltd (trading as Gooseberry, “we”, “us”) and the person or organisation using Gooseberry (“you”). If you use Gooseberry on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it. By creating an account or using Gooseberry you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The beta

Gooseberry is currently in beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable while we improve it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Gooseberry without any obligation to you.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • Keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
  • Workspace owners and administrators control who can join a workspace and what roles they have, and are responsible for their team's use of Gooseberry.
  • You must be at least 16 and give us accurate information.

4. Your content

You own the content you put into Gooseberry, including contacts, notes and revenue records (“your content”). You give us a limited licence to host, process and display your content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to add your content — including information about the people you work with — and for using it in line with applicable law, including the Privacy Act 2020.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Gooseberry to send spam or unsolicited messages, or for any unlawful, harmful or deceptive purpose;
  • upload information you don't have the right to use, or malware;
  • try to access other workspaces, probe or break our security, or overload the service;
  • scrape, copy or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.

6. Connected services

If you connect Google, Microsoft or other services, their own terms also apply. Gooseberry uses read-only access, and you can disconnect at any time. We aren't responsible for third-party services or changes they make that affect Gooseberry.

7. Automated drafts

Gooseberry produces drafts — such as meeting prep, structured notes, suggested matches and outreach — to help you. They may be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them; you decide what to save and what to send. Gooseberry never sends messages on your behalf.

8. Fees

Founding members — the first 100 people to create a Gooseberry account — get 3 months of free access from sign-up. Everyone else gets a free first month. During free access every feature is available. No payment details are needed to start. Before your free access ends we will tell you about our pricing, and you will only be charged if you choose a paid plan. We may change or end the offer for new sign-ups at any time; that won't affect free access you already have.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Gooseberry and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the beta — and where reasonable we will give notice and a chance to export your data first.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide Gooseberry with reasonable care and skill, but during the beta it is provided “as is” and we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are acquiring Gooseberry for business purposes, so to the extent permitted by law the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, and you agree that it is fair and reasonable for sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 not to apply.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, and our total liability arising from these terms or Gooseberry is limited to the greater of NZ$100 and the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes are material we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Gooseberry after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Questions? Email support@usegooseberry.com.
